Vakhtang Kasreli

Vakhtang graduated with a degree in Civil Architecture from the Georgian State Academy of Arts in 2001. From 2007 to 2008, he pursued an MSc in "Urban Strategies" at the Institute of Architecture, University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.

From 2013 to 2016, he studied for an MSc in Urban Studies and Planning at the Higher School of Economics, National Research University in Moscow, Russia.

In 20019-2020, he completed a Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA, USA). As part of the program, he completed an internship at the Urban Planning Department of Boston City Hall.

He participated in several research programs at the university, with the strategic development of The Broadway Plaza in the Town of Arlington being particularly noteworthy.

Since 2021, Vakhtang has been lecturing at Ilia State University, and in 2022, he became the head of the Bachelor of Architecture program. At the same time, he is an invited expert in the field of architecture and urban planning invarious state agencies as well as in the private sector.During his 20 years of professional experience, he has worked on projects of various scales in such countries as Riga, Sankt Peterburg, Moscow, Prague, Vienna, and Boston.
